And the Winner is...Neston High!

Students from Neston High School took a trip to the Vue Cinema, Cheshire Oaks to claim victory over six competitor schools.
Students entered the Educational Film Competition, which consisted of writing a short script, directing a film, and starring in the film, all with the aim of educating students on what life at secondary school is like.
Two of the Neston groups made it through to the final with two equally impressive short films. The lights went down and the show began; students watched ten films in total before the viewing of Neston's take on secondary school.
The introduction of the two films received a roar of applause and captured the attention of the audience immediately. Laughter, tears and enjoyment was felt by all in the gallery and was followed by a standing ovation on completion of the films.
The Head Judge, Russell Smith, announced the overall winner: "The 2013 Film Festival award for Best Film goes to...Neston High School!"
A further prize was awarded to Neston High School: Film Festival Best Actor 2013. Judges were impressed with the portrayal of the ‘typical high school nerd'.
Neston Students described the experience:
"My heart was beating so fast I felt like I was going to faint. When they shouted the winner was Neston, I thought I was going to explode! We jumped up and shouted, hugging and congratulating each other."
"The competition was really tough, as all of the films were great so I'm really, really proud that we won!"
"I enjoyed it the whole experience so much, the fact we won prizes just made the whole thing better!"
A huge congratulations to all students involved. Well done Neston!
