Grant fund providers and fund raisers are thanked for their support.
Old and worn out chairs in the Hall of the Neston Methodist Church & Community Centre were replaced recently by attractive new blue chairs. We would like to thank all those who generously granted funds to the project:
- Adactus Housing Neighbourhood Fund Grant £200
- Chester and Cheshire West Andy Williams member's budget grant £700
Also individuals and Community user groups who contributed to the fundraising:
- Afternoon Tea fundraiser held on Neston Ladies Day, Thursday 4th June 2015 raised £136.58
- Graham Jones Memorial Service, held Saturday 27th June 2015 raised £221.06
- Church Anniversary Caribbean Lunch held Sunday 28th June 2015 raised £97.10
- Church Harvest Lunch held Sunday 27th September 2015 raised £116
Early morning customers at Welcome Café appreciate the new chairs.
The new chairs replace these old and tatty ones.
The new chairs are lightweight aluminium which makes for far easier stacking and reconfiguring the Hall for all the Community User groups who meet regularly here.
There are many Community user groups and organisations that benefit from these improvements to the Hall including:
- Welcome Café - Friday mornings
- Keep fit classes - various afternoons and evenings
- Weight loss groups - Tues evenings
- Hip & Harmony Community Choir - Wed evenings
- Other Community groups and societies for meetings and gatherings, eg The Christmas Lunch 2015 hosted by local businesses
- Party Hall hire, eg Children's parties
