Which reminds me,have we still got a police sergeant in Neston?
Since he got his well deserved promotion everything has gone quiet apart from general requests for information like this. I didn't even know we had a new Sgt let alone who they where. I don't suppose the "new" sgt comes to Neston very often then if few of us even know who they are. Now many people have a real feeling things are getting worse.
However from April we should see a slight increase in police reources in our town after the inflation busting increase in council tax for Cheshire Police services.
Dan - You express my thoughts exactly,in fact,I mentioned it to Acting Chief Constable Janette Mc Cormick who seemed surprised that I did not see a PC around town but that is as far as it got.Our police go up and down the ramp by the side of the town hall and give me the impression that they just do not want to be bothered with the public.I have no doubt that the sight of the police keeps the crime rate down.As an aside, thank goodness the DPP has got the push because her priorities were hopelessly wrong.
