Children from Bishop Wilson CE Primary School in Burton, Neston, have been busy this week, with music and Christmas on their minds.
Years 4, 5 and 6 are invited to take part in instrumental lessons once a week. Our School Trustees have very kindly donated the brass and woodwind instruments that children can use and take home to practice on for the duration of their lessons.
The children that have been learning instruments put on a Christmas performance for the rest of the school showcasing what they have learned during the Autumn term.
Infant children from the school recently enjoyed a Christmas visit to Delamere Forest, which included a visit to see Santa in his grotto, making a reindeer using forest materials, drinking hot chocolate and toasting marshmallows and singing songs around the Christmas tree.
During the visit we followed a forest trail which ended with us hanging wishing stars on the wishing tree. Everyone had a brilliant day and were rewarded with their very own living Christmas tree from Santa.
