Neston Nomads in Historic Win Over Poynton

Neston Nomads FC made club history last week by beating Poynton FC to make it through to the Final of the prestigious Cheshire Amateur Cup.
Nomads made it through in a 2-1 victory over Poynton, played at Sandbach FC's ground. Adam Rassall scored the opening goal, followed by a last-minute winner by Luke Blondel.
The team have waited 35 years to reach the final and were naturally in celebratory mood after their win.

Club Chairman Bruce Munnery and manager Andy Griffiths said they were very grateful for the support at the match and added: "The squad have done the community proud, with a real team effort tonight."
