Redevelopment Update
The contractors have now taken possession of the site. Hoardings have been erected and site preparations are well underway. Preparations for site excavations are expected to take about two weeks. During the redevelopment Cheshire West and Chester Council have pledged to keep the community updated on the construction programme.

for the new development.
AboutMyArea popped into town today to speak to some of the workers currently erecting hoardings and preparing for the forthcoming works. They have apparently been bombarded with questions by interested passers-by, and have also been receiving the views of local people - some in a not-too-polite fashion.
Comments have ranged from: "Why aren't we getting a Morrisons?" to "Well, you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs."
In one particularly memorable case, a worker was sworn at by an elderly lady. A local resident who asked not to be named said:
"It's ridiculous to blame the workers for decisions made higher up, and anyway, who's to say we won't all be glad of the changes once everything is done and dusted?"

Town Centre Public Toilets
The town centre public toilets at the rear of Neston Town Hall will be closed from Monday 17 August and demolished. The public can use the toilets at the Town Hall from Monday, until the new public toilet located on the Belmont Cottage Car Park is available.
Market Update
The Market relocated last week onto Brook Street and the Belmont Cottage Car Park. Thank you to all who helped with arrangements, and all the Traders for their support. The Friday Market will continue in this location now for the duration of the construction period.
Just to remind you the buses will be re-routed via Ladies Walk each Friday to accommodate the Market.
Car Parking
Car parking is available at the British Legion, Monday to Saturday, between 8am and 6pm. Parking is free of charge but the Legion has asked that all vehicles leave by 6pm, to make sure that the car park is available for their members each evening.

Comments
will be a fantastic boost for Neston. Why should the people of Neston
have to shop in Heswall, it does'nt make sence. Ithink it will genarate a real buzz to the place, and make it a thriving little town once again.
Also I would like to point out Sainsburys is investing millions into this development and cant really see the council stumping up that sort of cash to improve Neston.
