First up this week, a sumptuous feast is on offer as the Union Hotel in Parkgate opens for business. From the Chester Chronicle, 12 October 1861:

Of course this would never happen in this day and age, would it Terri Binns? A former landlord of the Brown Horse with the somewhat flamboyant first name of Stephanus, faced the Bench....from the Cheshire Observer, 30 June 1900:
