Superior, a leading manufacturer based in Dorset, entered an 8-strong team into Tough Mudder on Sunday August 18 to raise funds for Julia's House.
The competing team comprised Superior's management staff and a total of £5,800 has so far been raised for Julia's House, a hospice dedicated to helping life-limited children and their families.
Management staff took on the 5km challenge in Badminton Estate in South Gloucestershire, which incorporates 13 obstacles that test physical strength, stamina and mental grit.
Heather Marchment, supply chain manager at Superior, commented: "Tough Mudder was a gruelling challenge that dragged us all out of our comfort zone! This year we put forward a team of management staff for the first time. Known as one of the toughest events, it certainly put us through our paces. We dragged ourselves through tunnels, crawled through mud and climbed huge heights, including the ‘Hero Walls' at 9' 6'' high.
"It's a challenge that emphasises teamwork and camaraderie and so this was the perfect challenge for us to pull together, make it to the end, and prove that as a team, we're capable of anything."
