Portsmouth Film Society Spring Season

Our spring season starts 24 April, Tuesday with two screenings.
6pm Short film showcase: The MINDS EYE (introduction talk from Georgius Misjura co-founder of Vita Pictura Productions -- The NOTE, The FAINT and TOMMY STORIES ( introduction talk from producer John Sackett) Ken Russell's film of the Who's musical Tommy, and featuring Oliver Reed, Jack Nicholson, and Elton John, represented a slice of Portsmouth film history as it was shot mainly in Portsmouth.

8pm Tyrannosaur (UK 2011)
A man plagued by violence and self-destruction, earns a chance of redemption that appears in the form of Hannah, a charity shop worker. Paddy Considine's First feature as director worn him the best British Debut award at the BAFTAs, and earned plaudits for Peter Mullan and Olivia Colman.
