Attention or Autopilot in Our Daily Lives

Do you want to feel more relaxed and calm, gain more energy and enthusiasm, improve your mood balance, enjoy and appreciate life more fully?
We all know how to take care of our physical health (even if we don't always do it!). And its usually a question of how to get into better habits - regular exercise, a better diet, reducing alcohol for example.
But most people really don't know how to work towards good mental health particularly when dealing with challenging situations, change, and feelings of stress, anxiety and depression.
In this first workshop of a new series hosted by the Oasis Wellness Centre based at Queen Alexandra Hospital, I'll introduce you to the principles of mindfulness and how you can change your thinking habits to support good mental health and emotional resilience.
There'll be an opportunity to try out a mindful meditation with chocolate, and wellbeing exercises you can practise at home.
