20 May 2014 - Neston Annual Town Meeting - Get To Know YOUR Council
Published: 13th May 2014 09:56 |
Much more than a formal meeting, this is an opportunity to meet local councillors, see some of the groups supported by the Council this year and to have your say on issues that concern you.
The Town Hall will be open from 5.15pm for you to meet the Councillors and hear some musical performances by pupils from Neston Primary School and Neston High School alongside members of local organisation Hip & Harmony CIC, and to talk to the volunteers who help to run some of Neston's clubs and groups. All this whilst enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and cake.
The formal Annual Town Meeting starts at 6.30pm and is the time for you to ask the Council questions on matters that concern you. For example, in 2014 the Council took over the running of the Town Hall and Market Square - you may have thoughts about what you would like to see happening there.
At 7.30pm the Full Council will formally elect the Chair and Vice Chair for the next year then hold the first meeting of the new Council year and you are welcome to stay for this.
Drop in for whichever part of the evening appeals to you and get to know your Council.
