Over 19 and out of work? Want to increase your chances of gaining employment?
If you don't know what you're good at, what career you want, or need help to get into the job you really want, CAN (Community Activities in Neston) can help!
We have tasters in office administration, catering, stewarding, I.T., finance, marketing, event management, youthwork, childcare, social care or community action. We'll work closely with you to identify and develop your skills, provide training, references and a portfolio of achievements that will boost your CV. Don't let anything stop you: we can help with things like childcare and transport costs.
CAN has a range of projects on offer:
- Neston Cycle Town -Events and initiatives to promote cycling in the area: cycle fairs, cycle hire and more;
- Neston Angels - A befriending service to help isolated elderly people in their own homes;
- Neston Flicks - Community cinema running monthly at Neston Civic Hall;
- Friday Youth Club - A fun youth club for 6-11s in Little Neston;
- CH64 Events - Big Lunch, Neston Lights ‘n' Lanterns, Ladies Day entertainments, and more;

Since 2005, CAN has worked with over 20,000 adults and children through its activity programmes, projects and events. We work with many partners, including Hip & Harmony CIC, Age UK, Snow Angels and Neston Rotary. Local volunteers give thousands of hours each year to help develop and organise activities.
