Voted the UK's Best Music Class in the 2008 What's on 4 Little Ones Awards!
What is Music Bugs?
At Music Bugs we run fun, and interactive 40 minute sessions for children aged 6 months to 4 years of age with lots of:
- Nursery Rhymes
- Counting Songs
- Knee Bouncers
- Finger Play Rhymes
We have a large selection of props which varies each week from puppets and pompoms, to bubble machines, and floaty scarves (Oh, and a large tub of percussion instruments for lots of noisy music-making!). Children have so much fun they don't realise how much they are learning!
Music Bugs provides fun, educational, and interactive music, singing, and dancing classes for the under 5's with emphasis on fun, growth, development and socialisation.
Our aim at Music Bugs is to provide young children with the opportunity to explore and develop within a colourful, multi-sensory and stimulating environment; using music, singing and movement together with a wide variety of exciting puppets and other props.
We always include a mixture of percussion songs, nursery rhymes, counting songs with puppets, action songs and prop songs and ensure our sessions are well paced so the children are engaged for the whole time.
Classes run in local church halls, or other suitable venues for carers and little ones up to 5 years of age, together with weekly nursery sessions for children who attend the nurseries.
Benefits to the Children:
Our sessions are carefully designed to help to support the six areas of learning of the Early Years Foundation Stage and are perfect for developing:
- Confidence
- Counting & other Numeracy Skills
- Memory
- Spatial Awareness
- Social Skills
- Communication & Language Skills
- Appreciation & love of music & singing
Come and meet old friends and make new friends for both your children and yourself, whilst enjoying music fun with Music Bugs.
Birthday Parties:
We can cater for up to 20 children at a birthday party. Each session is individually planned for the birthday child, including a mixture of his or her favourite songs, and songs which go down well at parties.
How much does it cost?
Your taster session is FREE. After that, classes are payable termly (discounts available for siblings, twins and qualified child minders), with no joining fee and all insurance for attending classes.

''My little one loves the music bugs sessions, the songs are lively and she adores the scarves, pom poms, instruments, puppets etc. I would highly recommend it!''
"Went to my first Music Bugs class last Friday in Abington and it was BRILLIANT! My 3 year old was in her element as was my 6 month old. The teacher was great fun, which encouraged all of the children to join in. An absolute must!"
"Music Bugs classes are great! I have been attending with my two (2 years and 5 weeks) for the last year and thoroughly enjoy each and every session. I cannot recommend Music Bugs enough."
