As we approach Christmas it is a time to reflect on the past year. It has been a year of change for me personally of course and politically, we have a new Government, a new Council and a new MP.
I have really enjoyed the privilege of representing you and am determined to keep trying my best for the constituency.
There are many challenges people face in life but we have so many brilliant people in this constituency who give their time, their expertise and their support in a whole series of ways that make life that little bit easier for many. It has been a real pleasure to meet so many of those people over the last twelve months who all add something to make where we live special.
So I say thank you to all those carers, public servants, armed forces personnel & veterans, faith groups, charities and volunteers who contribute to our society.
Domestically and internationally there are huge issues both immediate and long term that remain unresolved and will mean 2016 will be a testing time, but if you can, enjoy Christmas and try to have a break.
