Alan Paton, who does our weekly recipe for AbouMyArea/Co10 took part along side Michelin Star Chefs at Dingley Dell’s ‘Seventh Heaven’ Flying Visit at Corpus Christi College in Cambridge on Saturday 16th March 2013 in aid of the NSPCC was a huge success!
The evening started with drinks and canapes at 7pm, followed by an introduction from Mark Hayward at 7.30pm and a butchery masterclass by Master Butcher Tom from Direct Meats, slicing a Dingley Dell side of Pork.
After the success of Titchwell Manor, Murray Chapman and his ‘A Passion to Inspire’ students also joined the evening's exciting events!
There followed a 7 course Dingley Dell pork tasting menu.
The chefs for the evening’s pork feast were:
Mark Poynton – Restaurant Alimentum, Cambridge – 1 x Michelin Star
Chris Bell – River Room at Galgorm, County Antrim – 2 x AA Rosettes
Richard Bainbridge – Morston Hall, Norfolk – 1 x Michelin Star
Eric Snaith – Titchwell Manor, Norfolk -3 x AA Rosettes
Sam Bryant – Strattons Hotel and Restaurant, Swaffham
Robert Jonas - Corpus Christi College, Cambridge
Alan Paton - Stoke by Nayland golf club and award winning Chef!!

The Event was partly organised with “a passion to inspire” a non profit organisation set up by Murray Chapman Master Chef of Great Britain to give students a chance to prove and better themselves through college run competitions.
On the night £7,500 was raised for the NSPCC and altogether £19,200 has been raised over the last 3 Flying Visits for Charities …
