One-day course on keeping a few goats, Assington Mill near Sudbury
This course is aimed at the complete beginner and will cover all aspects of goat keeping and their care. You will learn abut the different goat breeds and their suitability for your purpose.
The day will cover housing requirements, feeding and hygiene, including worming, hoof-trimming and vaccinations, common diseases, how to identify and treat them and also DEFRA requirements. At the end of the day you will have the knowledge you need to decide if goat keeping is for you and what to look for when choosing your goat.
The day includes home-made lunch, biscuits and cakes.
