Take a Walk Through Time in Long Melford This Summer
A weekly series of guided walks looking at the history of Long Melford will start in May 2015 and continue through August.
The tours, which will take roughly one and half hours, are being led by experienced Blue Badge Guides and are suitable for wheelchairs, scooters and pushchairs. Those with dogs on leads are also welcome.
These walks have been developed in partnership with the Lavenham Tourist Information Centre (run by Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils) and the Long Melford Business Association following enquiries from visitors into Long Melford and its history.
Walks will start from Tiffin’s Tea Emporium, Drury House, Hall Street, Long Melford, CO10 9JT, where tickets can be purchased on the day. Alternatively, those interested can book ahead at Lavenham Tourist Information Centre, Lady Street, Sudbury, Suffolk, CO10 9RA.
Tickets cost £4 for adults, children (under 14’s) free. The walk will ‘take in’ the main street and follow up to The Green finishing at the Church.
