 WoW Sudbury

Wow Sudbury is happening this Sunday, 16th September 2018

This Sunday over 110 women and girls will take part in WoW (Women On Wheels) Sudbury. Organisers of Wow Sudbury are urging the public to cheer on the ladies if they see them on the routes. For any women still thinking about taking part it's not too late to register, registration closes this Friday and on the day sign up is also available.

The women and girls will be riding either a 5, 20 or 50 mile route through countryside around Acton and surrounding villages, the event will start at Acton Village Hall with the 50 mile route leaving at 8.30am, 20 Mile riders leaving at 9.00am and the 5 mile riders leaving at 10.00.am.

This is great opportunity for women and girls to get on their bikes for a really good cause, with on route stops for tea and cake, this is the perfect event to get the ladies in the whole family cycling, children, mums, aunts and nans.

Tracey Loynds, Chief Executive of South Suffolk Leisure said: "We are delighted to be hosting the fourth WoW event in Sudbury especially after the success of the three previous years."

St Nicholas Hospice Care's Community Fundraiser George Chilvers said: "We are very grateful to be having WoW Sudbury in aid of us again, as we rely so heavily on the local community to help us continue making living with dying better. As the palliative care provider for Sudbury, it's so important for us to get support from the town - this event is doing just that."
