Annual Sudbury Memory Walk Takes Place This Saturday, 6th October 2018
Hundreds of people are set to take a walk in Sudbury to highlight the affect Dementia has on individuals and their families and raising funds in aid of Decaf at The Bridge, Sudbury and Ansell Memories Café, Hadleigh.
The organisers are calling on all ages of the community to come together and sign up for the memory walk held on Saturday 6th October.
There are a choice of route distances to choose from; ½, 1, 3 or 5 mile along Sudbury's Valley walk trail starting from the carpark at Kingfisher Leisure Centre. The ½ mile distance is especially included to encourage families living with dementia to join the walk with their loved ones. There will be seats along the route to take a well-earned rest and a rest station at the 1/4mile turn around point. New to this year's walk is a toilet stop at the Quay Theatre.
Event organiser; Lisa Dagnall explains "Every pound raised through the Memory Walk will help provide support to those living with Dementia and their loved ones this is why we feel so passionately about organising this event over the last three years."
Whether you walk alone and make friends on the way, get a group of colleagues or friends together, belong to a club or community group, or want to get your school involved.
