Sudbury's Party in the Park returns to Belle Vue Park for its 10th year, 22nd July 2018

Sudbury's popular Party in the Park is back and better than ever as it returns to Belle Vue Park for its 10th year.

Opening the event at 11am will be a procession through the park to set the tone for a fun packed Sunday. Making up the procession will be Phoenix Community Marchers along with the Royal British Legion Buglers from Stowmarket Boys Brigade and local Piper Tricia Drawbridge.

The free event has proved to be a huge success year after year and is run by Sudbury Town Council. Party in the Park aims to raise the profile of the diverse range of clubs and groups in and around the town by incorporating them into a day with something for everyone, making it the perfect family fun day for all ages.

Thousands of people are expected to attend this year's event, which will see a wide range of local entertainment including dance, keep fit, baby ballet, exercise and children's entertainers along with live music, food stall and loads of family friendly activities. Thanks to Sudbury Town Council, free to the public will be Climbing walls, Bungee Trampolines, Punch & Judy, Magic shows, and a Circus skills workshop where everyone will have the chance to learn how to spin a plate, Diablo, Poi, Flower stick, Juggle, Hula hoop and more.

This year's new free attraction is a classic nine-hole golf course which combines traditional mini golf with wacky obstacles, courtesy of Suffolk County Councilor Colin Spence. Other activities on the day include; Face painting, Arts and crafts, stalls, bouncy castles, slides, inflatable gladiator games, a rodeo bull, children's bumper cars and zorb football.

There will be a fantastic range of sweet and savoury food stalls, and a bar serving both alcoholic and soft drinks at reasonable prices to quench your thirst and please your wallet. Throughout the day and into the night live music will be performed by a wide range of local talent split across two stages, the Acoustic Stage, run by The Befriending Scheme, will have performances all day with main stage acts, sponsored by McDonalds, starting at 5 pm in our central arena.

This year's event will take place on Sunday 22nd July, starting at 11am, finishing at 9pm with no admittance after 8pm. For lots more information and updates, visit the Party in the Park event on Facebook
